This is a project I had in mind for a while, but could never find an excuse to make.

This hoodie was based off the design for Altair from the first Assassin's Creed. I started off simply buying a cheap sweatshirt and altering the hood according to his costume. The hood that came on the sweater was made with two layers, so by using the inside layer I had enough fabric to add the extra panel on top of the head as well as push out the sided and make the point. After that I embroidered the assassin symbol on the outside of the left sleeve, because how can a secret society go about their low-profile missions without putting their symbol in plain sight on everything they own?

This jacket is just fun to wear, and even when all you're doing is sitting on a bench you will feel like a bad-ass. It's inconspicuous enough that people unfamiliar with the Assassin's Creed franchise would pay it no mind, but fellow gamers will recognize it instantly.

Overall this project is simple and quick, so hopefully I can get a full step-by-step up if I can find an excuse to make a second one.

Awesome! How did you do the symbol on the sleeve?

There's probably a few instructables up on embroidery, but in a nutshell it's this:

First I drew the symbol on in something that would wash off easily. Then I kept stitching back and forth across it with embroidery floss. The hard part is making sure the fabric doesn't crumple and that you don't pull the stitch too tight, or the shape will come out lopsided.
