My wife was frustrated about the sound of the computer. Once the sound comes from the headset, once comed from the loudspeakers. Never from the correct one.

This is a cheap audio switch. It switch not just the sound but the headset microphone to the desktop mic.

Step 1: Requirements

3 stereo slot, for audio
3 mono slot, for microphones
1 two way switch
some two component glue putty
1 old mouse

It's just 510 HUF cca. $2.
I bought a device that does quite the same thing, without looking awesume.. So i am definitely thinking about building me one of these, but with 1-click power switches under each mouse button to control sound and mic separate.
hii :)) what's the reason why you innovate this cool gadget??
hmm nice.. but is it safe to only switch the ground and not to switch signal lines? can this do any harm to hardware or to degrade or deform sound? i'm asking 'couse the signal lines stay always connected here.
Yes, you are right. More switches probably solves this problem.
what would the schematic look like if i used four stereo jacks instead of 2 stereo and 2 mono?
If you have stereo microphones, you should wire it looks like the loudspeaker. But if you have mono mic, enough to solder the left channel. Use shielded wire instead unshielded.
i just meant to hook speakers up into it instead of mics. should i just get rid of the switch and mono jacks, but then what do i do with the ground wires on the stareo if there is no mono to solder it to?
Cool, I think I will make one.
This is Neat, Very Cool11! But.... i haven't understood the wiring process , could you please post a quickie schematic , or something like thhat ? Thanks A lot
Sure, my mistake. I did upload it.
Thanks a lot !1 so, I will make it as soon as possible
I love using old mice as project boxes. Nice one.

nice :-)
