I bought a device that does quite the same thing, without looking awesume.. So i am definitely thinking about building me one of these, but with 1-click power switches under each mouse button to control sound and mic separate.

hmm nice.. but is it safe to only switch the ground and not to switch signal lines? can this do any harm to hardware or to degrade or deform sound? i'm asking 'couse the signal lines stay always connected here.

i just meant to hook speakers up into it instead of mics. should i just get rid of the switch and mono jacks, but then what do i do with the ground wires on the stareo if there is no mono to solder it to?
