Autumn Harvest

For those of us who try and stick to in-season foods, the salads of Summer are replaced by more warming, filling foods; root vegetables, squashes and cooked apples.

It is also the season for foraging - blackberries, mushrooms and nuts are all Autumnal staples.

I've also included a way to pick your fruit at a distance, and a little treat for the grown-ups.

Blackberries came into season a few months ago here. It's kinda surreal to think of them as an autumn berry.
