-1 packed cup light brown sugar
-1 1/4 cup pecan halves
-3 beaten eggs
-1 cup dark cane syrup(K A R O)
-2 tbs melted butter
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-1 pinch salt
-1 store bought pie crust(9inch)
-dry and liquid measuring cups
-spoon or cake spactula
Step 1: Mix the Filling
1.In the mixing bowl crack three eggs and lightly whisk.
2.Add cane syrup, sugar, vanilla extract, melted butter, pecans to bowl
4.Pour mix into pie crust.
see I told you this would be easy..
Step 2: It's Bake Time
Place pie on center rack of oven and bake at 400 for 15 minutes.
Then reduce Temp. to 350 and bake for another 30 minutes.
Step 3: Final Inspection
-to do this poke a knife into the center and it should come out clean.
-don't worry if the pie seems a little loose because you need to take out and let it sit for awhile to allow the filling to further set.
but if it is like total liquid allow pie to bake longer.
Once pie has set serve it up. Great by itself or with a scoop of ice cream.
