Step 1 What you need

what you need

- a piece of pipe about 4 to 7 feet long and about 1cm in diameter, you can use curtian rod, thats what i used and it works great.

- MOUTHPIECE, for my mouthpiece i used some random stuff i had lying around (plastic pipe stuff) but what works just the same is soda bottle necks just cut them off where you think suits you.

- sand paper to smooth the cut out mouthpiece (bottleneck)

- good super glue (to glue the mouth piece and other stuff in the future)

- paint or camo cloth (optional, only use if u want camo)

DARTS

- paper

- sticky tape or super glue

- bbq skewer or nails for the darts

- a FILE to sharpen the nails (optional)

Hey i just wanted to know your input to the question that Higgs Boson, myself, and another one of our friends are all asking. What can be done to make the blowguns better at this point? Yours and ours are practically identical, except for the darts. Even with the best darts we can make, they still only ever shoot accurately at a max 35 feet. What do you think?

you can just make the skewerdart with out the sharp tip-slit the front and add a cheap exacto blade

Skewer darts are fun, but it's nothing, I repeat nothing, compared to a blow pipe.

i meant a skewer blowdart, but with a broadhead

you said the barbecue skewers were to light, so head it with an exacto blade and you got a hunting full blown dart

You can't go wrong with a blow gun, but every one's got a different variant on the dart.

how thick is the pipe that you used

As for him I don't know, but if you're asking because you'd like to do the same, either 1/2" or 5/8", or 12mm to 15mm inner diameter. Choose either copper or aluminum, and for a fully grown man, either 6' or 7' is an ideal length for hunting.

I would have hit the sparrow, the magpie is an Australian native and if you're in Australia that's a federal law broken. Oh well. Good shot though!

I just made a smaller one of thise and it is awesome except I just used camo duct tape on mine.

well, that's kind of lame 70 mph isn't very fast, i recommend thin metal stakes from a hardwar store wrapped in duct tape

variety is the spice of life my friends i read every post like this just in case someone comes up with better ideas{this one has two good ideas ,using camo cloth and coke bottle for mouthpiece} ive seen six bike trailers on theese pages too but every one was a little different. keep em coming

i agree with both sides to some extent, but mostly with lennyb. yes, there are a lot of blowgun instructables, and yes, they should definitely have thier own section - but every one of them has a slightly different innovation or solution to problems. if it weren't for people who take the time to post, no matter how repetitive, we'd have nothing at at. kudos to them, and keep them coming! lots of great ideas out there!

hey if you get a needle with the balls on the end and shove one through the eraser of a pencil and spin some yarn around it that works well
