BOOKCASE DOOR THAT REPLACES YOUR DOOR.

Step 4Glue the books on the door.

glue the books on the door.
glue the books on the door making sure to dry fit them first useing pl400 or some other very good glue.
i used a lever handle so i could hollow out the book i wanted to use as the handle. i then drilled the handle and attached with screws. if you dont have a lever handle you could get creative with 2 books or somthing.

It would be cool if you have to pull out that book a bit and then pull the lever. Very nice one!!

i was thinking to myself that this was a pretty damn clever door, and then i noticed the book you chose for a handle, and realised just what a glorious sunnovagun you are.

Very clever and ingenious. A thought for the next one might be cutting the book depth at varying lengths (between 1 1/4" and 2") to give a slightly more realistic look to it, and it would hide a protruding handle better.  You could also use a book with more depth for the handle and burrow deeper into the book so that the book could slide out, then be turned for the handle.  The whole hidden entrance thing has always excited me since I was a wee lad.

Anyhow, fabulous job.  Keep 'em coming.  Anyone can suggest improvements, but it takes a true adventurer to attempt the concept, and, for that, I tip my hat to you.
