On a break action gun, doesn't it pull the pin back as you break it?

I'm working on a mechanism like that, never seen one before so i thought i would give it a shot.

Well, when I tried back in '09 (A whole four years ago....), I managed to get something reliable and fast to fire, but I couldn't design one that worked well enough to use due to the elastics pulling the pin back either being too strong or too weak. PM me if you succeed!

I have a nerf gun that does, it's awesome :)

i want that one but i got the recon

theres a realy cheep one for about nine dollars.

so you expect a 40-50 give or take degree turn on the hinge to pull back a 30cm ramrod??? lol jokes but serioiusly there are limitations on what knex can do unless your called mepain but no i dont think so hope it helps!:)

I tried something like that once, but it was lever action.

Look at my break action mech it pulls back the ram about 20 cm

I made a true break action gun. The elastics from the pin were attached to the front of the gun. When it folded, it pulled the pin back. When it was straight, it held the barrel together. It shot 20 feet.... :(

Even on a real gun, no. Well, at least the one my dad has. With his you break it and load the shell, close it and pull the hammer.

Hmmm... On the ones I've seen, you just break it, put the ammo in, then un-break it. It's then ready to fire.

actually after that then they quickly cock it, its very easy to miss.

Dont mean to butt my way in but on a real break action(for instance lets use the 410 gauge shotgun) on the 410 that my dad had for me the firing pin never moved when the chamber was open. If you could build a real firing mechanism pm me pics but so far as i know the model would be big if ya could.
