I wanted to add an audio input to my antique volkswagen's Autoradio, but a simple audio câble was not smart enough. So I decided to add some bluetooth to it.

Step 1: Get the Stuff

Ok, what we need now is a cheap AD2P bluetooth headset, you can buy one on ebay for exemple. You'll need an enclosure for your project too, I tought it was cool to use a vintage tape as my enclosure.

Step 2: Taking Appart the Headset

Take appart the headset carefully because all the tiny wires are very fragile.
Then cut the headphones wires.

Step 3: Put Evrything in the Case

All the electronics will fit in the case with some dremel improvement. The board is Hot-glued. Ive drilled a small hole for the microphone.

Step 4: Adapt Th Impedence

My Autoradio is a Blaupunkt Wolfburg III and was built in 1969 ! It hopefully has a tape input, all I have to do was to transform the stereo signal to a mono one, and adapt the impedence to avoid the signal saturation.

The resistors are 180Ohms.

Step 5: Close the Case

When done, you can close the case. (I used 1mm connectors to easily unplug my adaptater).

I've glued the controls buttons on the head of the tape case. (as shown).

Step 6: Pair It With Your Device

Plug the BT2BT to the autoradio, In my case, I've drilled a small hole int my glove box to pass the wires thru.
Now you have to pair it with your bluetooth device, and start playing some music.
