Backup Wii Games on any Wii

Step 2 Install cIOS36Rev7

In this step we install cIOS36 Rev7

Step 1: Open the Homebrew Channel

Step 2: Click on the App labeled "Apps/cIOS Rev7/boot.dol" and then click Load

Step 3: Read the Disclaimer and Agree or Disagree

Step 4: Select WAD INSTALL

Step 5: Once it is done, select the option to restart your Wii

Step 6: You're done!

I think you can do it on any version. I have 4.2 and i managed to get Cios249 up and running.

hey, i get an error when it's installing the second IOS basically this is what it says, <br/>"Installing Custom IOS, please wait...<br/>>>Title patched successfully!!<br/>Installing Custom IOS, please wait...<br/>>>Installing ticket... ERROR! (ret = -2011)"<br/>can anybody help?<br/>

error 2811 means you don't have cOIS249..yet......you must have a 3.4...and it can be done ..I've done 4 now..a lot of places say if you have 3.4 forget it...but I guess they haven't looked hard enough..

Yes there is hope for you and your 3.4 ...I just had to do one myself..took a ton of reading and even then had to use bits and pieces of 4 different programs to get it running...you need SoftMii v2.1.1 it has 2 of the programs you need and then the you will need DVDx34..made for 3.4...and the file that was at the beginning of this I think it was called SD card files..if you read threw the readme text you'll figure it out...good luck

I'll try to remember everything I had to do..then post it in here ..but it may take a day or 2.but I think the most important part is that in the softmii program you will find a custom Wad installer when you run it it has wad cOIs16 and it has cOIS249 run the 16 then run the 249...I think this will install the cOIS249 that you aren't getting now..and get the DVDx34 and replace the DVDx boot.dol with the boot.elf from the DVDx34 ...like I said took a lot of reading...http://softmii.org/v2/

What version of the Wii's System Menu do you have? If you have 3.4 its useless. But you can downgrade it.
