yes, get dvd-r discs made by sony. i have tried about 3 other brands when sony was not available and they got a disc read error within a day, but the first game i burned over 5 months ago still works like a charm on a sony disc : )

The wii sees right through a DVD-RW. Rewriteables are out of the question. In any case, use a DVD-R. You can buy 100 of them for ten bucks, they're not that expensive.

Also, I burned at 2x because I was getting error messages so I lowered the burn speed and it worked without errors.

Yeah, It's always a good idea to burn at the slowest speed you possibly can. This helps prevents any bad burns. It's slower, yeah, but what it lacks in speed it makes up for in quality. :)

Steve I am not sure about dvd-rw, wouldn't see why not it is still proper media. But with all things in life, you get what you pay for so I always use verbatim. I have no problems and I use dvd+r. I just played my first game copy) after adding the homebrew and a few other apps. QUESTION HELP I downloaded and burned 1 game SpongeBob Atlantis Squarepantis with imgburn and I load it left the Force NTSC off and it plays in black and white. So I rebooted and Forced NTSC and I get this green screen. The Download says PAL. Skate it is almost done downloaded will try that one. Thanks!!!
