Most of the parts for this project are cut from a length of PVC pipe:

(1) 1-1/2" x 20" PVC pipe for the vertical post
(5) 1-1/2" PVC caps - 4 for the base and one to cap the post
(3) 1-1/2" PVC tees for the base
(4) 1-1/2" x 4" PVC pipes for the base
(2) 1-1/2" x 1-1/4" PVC pipe used to join the tees for the base


Other parts:

Automotive cup holders
Sand for added weight in the base
PVC glue
(2) #8 x 3/4" bolts, nuts, washers
Plastic paint (optional)


Tools:

Drill
Screw driver
Hack saw
