Bacon Wrapped Jalapenos - Improved!

Featured
I've been making jalapeno appetizers for years and bringing them to parties to be gobbled by just about everybody. Over the years I've made some changes and adaptations. After this last Super Bowl party I made yet another change and while I was experimenting I thought I'd make an instructable out of it. I hope you enjoy!

Step 2: Prepare the mix

Put the cream cheese in a bowl and add the cheddar cheese. Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix over the cheeses and mix it all up with a fork. You can also use a food processor for this step but if you leave the cream cheese out until its room temperature its easy enough to do by hand. I like the texture of the cheese better if you don't chop it all up with the food processor.

Set the cheese mixture aside while you do the next step.

I find that par-cooking the bacon helps tons with getting crispy bacon without burning the cheese or the peppers.

My family also chops up the jalapeno guts and adds it back into the cheese for extra heat.

And lastly - for your friends who can't do cheese - peanut butter (or almond butter or...) is awesome and unexpected!

For me, the chopped up seeds are great. For my family...not so much. I tried pre-cooking the bacon a little but found it doesn't stretch as well then and you can't always get them wrapped right. Thanks for the comment!
These look great and I love that you used two cheeses. :)
That sounds delicious! I've been liking jalapenos more and more lately and this sounds like a great recipe to try out!

They really are tasty. You can vary the heat to your liking and the ranch flavor really adds to it. Let me know how they turn out.
