Easy 2 step recipe, with addictive results!

1. Preheat your oven to 275 F. Wash and dry 3 apples. Slice them thinly using either a knife or a mandolin.
2. Place them separately and evenly spaced on a baker's sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in the oven for 90 minutes, after 60 minutes turn them.

Allow them to cool and enjoy!

Would this work with cooking apples, or do they need to be eating apples?

Hi Ruthy,

Yes, you can use cooking apples. I actually like to mix the types of apples so as to get differing tastes and textures for the chips. Hope that helps and hope you enjoy!

Best, Emily

If you peel the apples before drying them, you won't get the hard sharp points.

Hi Lorddrake! If you cut the apples thin enough, sharp edges are not really an issue plus they add a little extra crisp and crunch. I would also feel bad wasting the skins.
