Step 1: Supplies
Step 2: Making the Box.
Step 3: Making the Top
As you can see I got ahead of myself with the priming. It worked out in the end.
- 1/2" x 3/4" x 3/4" square on the top
- With trial and error I found out a 30 deg. cut works best. (there was a lot of error)
- 1/2" x 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" Plywood
- 1/8" x 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" Plywood
All that is glued together.
Step 4: Working on the Windows and Top.
I tried using painters tape as to paint the frame in place. That more work than I wanted to do.
I also tried using thin wire. I couldn't get that to look good.
So, I went back to the balsa wood. it took some time and each part has to be sanded to fit in place. I'm happy with the way it turned out. I used a gel style super glue to hold them all in place.
