Introduction: Balsamic Vinaigrette

This is how to make a balsamic vinaigrette, which goes great on salads, as a dip for bread, as a marinade for meats, and even for treats like strawberries and ice cream. You'll need a mixing bowl, a whisk, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, dijon mustard, garlic, and thyme.

Step 1: Mixing

Pour as much balsamic for about 3/5 to 3/4 the total amount of vinaigrette you would like to make. In this case, I've used about 3/4 cup to make a small batch. Add about 1/10 part dijon mustard, or a dollop here. Add a small amount of thyme, and some minced garlic. Whisk until the mustard is completely mixed.

Step 2: Adding the Oil

While whisking, slowly drip olive oil in as thin of a line as possible, to taste. Keep whisking about one minute.

Step 3: Enjoy!

You can bottle this up and enjoy it with almost any dish. So experiment, but be sure to balance your flavors, and taste everything!
