Introduction: Ban Disposable Email Addresses in Forums and Blogs
If you run a forum, a blog, or if you want to let people download whitepapers you probably check the subscribers email addresses by double-opt-in. This method is great - but it does not avoid that subscribers use one-time email addresses for sign-up.
Local blacklists for domains like mailinator or trash-mail are good, but what about new services?
Only possible approach is to use this free service to block disposable email .
How does it work? It can be integrated (api available) to your signup-form to check if the subscribers email address belongs to one of the known one-time email services. The checking-service responds with "OK" or "BLOCK" so you can decide what to do with the subscription.
If you do not have technical skills to integrate it by yourself there are also easy to install plugins for well-known platforms such as phpBB, Wordpress or Drupal.
