Me and my mom used to make banana boats when we went camping. We'd simply make a slit in the banana stuff it full of hershys dark chocolate, wrap it up in tin foil and then throw it over the campfire for a few minutes. This is the first time I've seen banana boats made with marshmallows. Defs gonna have to try it.

These work great when nestled into the remains of a campfire, too. Ours were made sans peanut butter and still excellent. The heat transforms much of the sugar in the banana, and turns the pulpy flesh into gooey caramelized goodness. It is a delicious, wonderful thing.

Yeah, we often do this while camping. We don't use marshmallows or peanut butter though, we just shove in a few pieces of a chocolate bar. I'll try this though, may be better! Thanks for the idea

yeah my family does this all the time camping but instead we add chocolate, marshmallows, and red hots. shall have to try the peanut butter next time though I don't think the peanut butter and red hots would mix well.

Best one ever which I combined with this... one day my mates and I decided to fry bananas it's now one of our staple meals when we see eachother... I cut the banana in half and filled in chocolate and peanut butter then sandwiched them back together and hoped they held on, carefully get these in to the frying pan and slide about using the curve of the edge of the pan as a way to fry the sides and flip with a fork then remove as the side look slightly browned and crispy, (all likely to take 1-2mins) and its gorgeous as it leaves very sweet coating and pure molten happiness in the middle

Why do you leave the skin when cooking? And I assume you remove the skin before eating?
