Introducing Barbecued Berry Bruschetta. A twist on a savory classic… and you get to use a torch! Enjoy the video!

Step 1: Ingredients and Equipment

  • Strawberries
  • Pound cake -- home made, or store bought
  • Sugar
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Honey
  • Fresh Basil
  • Barbecue
  • Skewers
  • Mixing bowls and knives
  • Torch

Step 2: Prep Ingredients

Skewer whole berries on two skewers, so that they don't twirl on the barbecue.

Cut pound cake in 1/2" slices.

Chop basil.

Combine balsamic vinegar and honey to taste.

Step 3: Grill Your Ingredients

Place strawberry skewers and pound cake on grill, until heated and a bit charred.

Step 4: Finish Ingredients

Chop berries, place in bowl. Add sweetened balsamic vinegar.

Sprinkle sugar on grilled cakes, brûlée with torch.

Step 5: Serve

Set out your ingredients and let guests help themselves!
