Needed materials
  • the finished lamp (duh)
  • the lighter, or match, or whatever...

Briefly tip the bottle upside down to soak the wick in fuel.
Now take your lighter or match, and light the wick!
The fuel will burn but not the wick.

Congratulations, you're done!

Trying to make a molotov out of canola oil is as idiotic as trying to carve a chicken with a drinking glass. You can easily make one, but you need something much more combustible. Such as gasoline. Also a cloth and bottle. That's it.
