Yeah, I have to agree with the others below..

You could have at least made the log yourself and take your pictures!
(I made this and it rocked, even used the Burnt Finger BBQ sauce)
There Bacon Meatballs rock, too!

On your next instructable, please don't steal others pictures, etc...

it isn't plagiarism if he cited the website. which he did clearly. he is not saying it is his own idea that he magically came up with. According to dictionary.com plagiarism is the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work.

Your defense of his action doesn't make it right, ninjarabbit91. Since the original work IS copyrighted - and furthermore IS TRADEMARKED - reproducing it in any form without the express consent of the author is not only illegal, but is outright theft, regardless if he cited the original work or not.

If it were my own copyrighted & trademarked product that he copied, there would be legal action.

I can't see a proper reason to reproduce an existing guide somebody else made 1:1 just to "bring it out to the masses". That's what hyperlinks were invented for. If the original authors wanted to publish their recipe on instructables.com they probably would have done so. Not worthy of being featured on the front page.

Well, other than your blatant plagiarism, this is awesome. I am very annoyed that this got home page status, even though it is stolen material. i want to make one.

Not only did you plagiarize the idea, but you stole the pictures from the original creators.

This is actually called the "Bacon Explosion" and it is copyrighted. You stole the pictures right from the website from the people who own the copyright.

Classy...

and reported.

Maybe he is the bbqaddict and wanted to share it here.

I don't know, but he might be the guy that came up with it.
Apr 12, 2011. 12:53 PMjrossetti says:
No doubt, I myself was irritated to see the blatant plagiarism here. Not only does the original page have complete instructions, it IS copyrighted, and I see no indication permission to reproduce was granted. Instructables should never be used in this manner.

FOR SHAME

Couldn't even be bothered to make your own? Just had to outright steal everything from the creators site?

Dude, lame. Not your idea, not your photos. Gave you 1/2 a star. Give credit where it's due. The idea itself rocks though.

I opened up the page and heard the angels sing, my screen kept getting brighter and brighter and now I am eating a log made of bacon. I'm pretty sure I'm in heaven.

Oh, yes... this will HAVE to be brought to the bacon-crazed masses at Playa del Fuego this spring. I can just see it now, hippies and hipsters poking their heads up like befuddled prairiedogs from their tents/campfires/cuddlepuddles as the scent of roasting pork wafts over the field... nomnomnom...
