I love chocolate. I do. And this is the best, most chocolate-y, fudge-y, gooey Fudge Sauce recipe I know! It's the same recipe my mum made when I was a child, and its delicious allure hasn't faded over the years. Try it -- it's SUPER easy, and tastes a million times better than any sauce from a bottle. Plus, no preservatives or artificial colours or flavours! That makes it healthy, right? Practically a health food, even! *grin*

Step 1: Whisk.

Best Ever Hot Fudge Sauce

  • 1 c. cocoa
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. water

Whisk together.

Step 2: Boil and Simmer.

Bring to a boil, and then simmer for 5 minutes. And..done!

Yes, it's really that easy to make your own sauce!

For serving suggestions, might I suggest these? Am drinking a glass of homemade chocolate milk as I type!

Did you have any problems with lumps ? I really Don't like using much coco because of that.

No lumps whatsoever! But the whisk is crucial for that. As long as you use one though -- lump-free!

This is similar to the recipe Hershey's USED to put on the tin of cocoa powder. It was called "Hershey's chocolate syrup". Thank you for posting this wonderful money-saving, chemical-free recipe.
