For many years I have made my own toothpaste. Here is my latest and greatest recipe.

Step 1: Ingredients, and Drying Mint for Base

The ingredients for the recipe are:

  • Dried and ground mint
  • Calcium
  • Bentonite clay
  • baking soda
  • himalayan salt
  • coconut oil
  • Vitamin E oil, 25 drops
  • Spearmint oil, 20 drops
  • Peppermint oil, 10 drops
  • Myrrh oil, 10 drops
  • cinnamon oil, 5 drops
  • clove oil, 5 drops

I have lots of swiss mint in my garden, so I picked a handful, then dried and ground it(by putting the leaves in a bag, then lightly hitting it with a measuring cup)

Step 2: Add Dry Ingredients and Mix

  1. The ground swiss mint and calcium tablets
  2. ground finely in a magic bullet
  3. 1/2 tsp of baking soda
  4. 1 tsp of Bentonite clay
  5. 1/4 tsp of himalayan salt
  6. mixed well

Step 3: Add Wet Ingredients.... and Mix!

  1. 1 Tbs of coconut oil
  2. Essential oils
    1. Vitamin E(25 drops)
    2. Spearmint(20 drops)
    3. Peppermint10 drops)
    4. Myrrh(10 drops)
  3. Two more oils, clove and cinnamon(5-7 drops of each)
  4. Mix all.

Step 4: Bottle and Enjoy

My favorite method is to pour into a glass spice bottle as pictured above. This way, a tooth brush can be inserted easily.

Your teeth will be super-clean, whiter, and as mineralized as this and your diet will take you. I am 45, have no cavities, fillings, never experience tooth freeze.. just saying. : )
