My house has electric lights on the walls & ceiling... However, this is a pretty neat use of what are becoming ever cheaper light sources. Had you considered using Velcro pads instead of hot-glue? These would allow you to peel-off at a later date & add different accessories. Regards L

Actually, unless you have some super crazy hot glue, it will peel off pretty easy from monitor plastic. Velcro would certainly work, though (but IMHO Velcro is ugly)

Second thought: can you run the lamps off your USB?
e.g. http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/peripherals/usb-powered-bbq--wtf-196087.php

I like it. If you have an LCD Monitor, you might just be able to use the actual clips, but for CRT's, this is great.
