Step 1: Supplies

Parts:
-washer
-locking washer
-nuts (2)

Tools:
-Drill
-Drill bit, 1/4", i used a stepper bit

Step 3: Attach Camera

Then put the second bolt on, and the washer. Screw the camera on all, or most of the way. Then use the bolt and washer to tighten the camera on.

Step 4: Clip on and Go!

This clip was tight enough so that it stayed on, even while riding with no problem. Hitting bumps moved the camera forward or backward slightly, but it stayed attached. Other similar clips can be fastened at the open ends.

To fix the fact that bumps cause the camera to aim up or down, i added another clip, with a bar between the two.

This video was taken on a quick trip around the neighborhood with my improved mount.

Nice Instructable, but it could really use some more in-focus pictures.

Yeah, unfortunately I had to use my phone to take photos of the camera, and the camera itself isn't great at macro shots. Since I published this 'ible I've gotten a better camera.

sweet, never thought of that idea, although I wonder if theres a way you can put a webcam on a bike and have the images stream over the net through a wireless connection. that would be sweet too. heh heh, by the way, you're supposed to stop at stop signs too, LOL!!!

well idk how you would stream to the web unless you had a really good cell phone with an unlimited data plan. on the bike it's practically silent. the noise in the video is from the air hitting the microphone, i forgot to take it out. I didn't see any cars or hear anything at the first stop sign, onto the 'main' road. the second one was in my little neighborhood, and no one really ever drives through it. lol. its an E shape off of the main road.

very cool this is much better than trying to mount a camera with duct tape lol

is there a video in step 4 or something? i cant see it. you could use a hose clamp instead of the snap thing. just drill a hole in the strap and put the bolt through it, and tighten it. that way it wont bob around

Yes there is a video is step 4, it's working now. And I did make improvements to the design, so now it doesn't move around at all. I used the fuse holder because it was what I had laying around the garage.
