I had half a dozen bike locks sans keys accumulated at my pedicab shop. They hung around through a relocation and several months; I knew I wanted to do something with them but was unsure what. With the help of my circular saw and wire feed welder, they became safety. Ironically, I didn't weld them together due to the horrid stench from the melting plastic. It just didn't seem "safe":)
