Introduction: Black Pepper Lemon Chicken Fry | 15 Minute Quick Chicken Starter Recipe | Dry Chicken Recipe

Black Pepper Lemon chicken fry is a very delicious and lip smacking spicy dry chicken recipe, which can be prepared very quickly and very easily.

You can have it as a starter or have it as a side recipes.

Step 1: Ingredients

Cooking Ingredients,

  • 500g chicken (good if marinated in little salt for 1-2 hours)
  • 1 spoon Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1-2 medium Cinnamon stick
  • 4 whole black pepper
  • 8-10 black pepper crushed (i.e. 1-1.5 tbsp crushed black pepper)
  • Salt as per taste (including salt used in marination)
  • Lemon juice of 1 medium size lemon
  • Small butter cube
  • 2-3 tbsp edible oil
  • 1 spoon corn flour (As a substitute, all purpose flour i.e. Maida can be used)
  • 4-5 green chilli (verticallt cut preferred)
  • 8-10 curry leaves
  • 5-6 fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 small bowl curd
  • 2-3 spoon water (to mix with corn flour)

Serving ingredients(Optional)

  • 1 Onion
  • 3-4 green chilli (verticallt cut preferred)
  • 1-2 Lemon Wedges

Step 2: Cooking

  • Take a non stick pan or wok. Add oil and butter in it. Keep the flame on medium high.
  • Once hot add black pepper and cinnamon stick. Let it heat for around 40-45 seconds.
  • Add curry leaves and let them heat for 20-30 seconds.
  • Add chicken pieces and spread them. Try ensuring that each one is touching base.
  • Cook on medium heat for 3-4 minutes till it start getting golden brown. Keep stirring in between.
  • Turn the flame to low medium and add ginger garlic paste. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add curd and mix well.
  • Add/Sprinkle salt.
  • Add crushed black pepper and mix it.
  • Add half of the lemon juice.
  • Cover it and leave it for 5-6 minutes on low medium heat. Stir once in between.

  • Add green chilli and mix.
  • Add it in the chicken and mix.
  • Coat the chicken pieces well and add remaining lemon juice.
  • Let it cook on medium high till pieces are tender and water evaporates.
  • Add fresh coriander leaves and mix.
  • Switch off the flame.

Step 3: Serving

  • Transfer the dish to serving plate.
  • Serve it along with onions, green chilli and lemon.
