How to go from a dark hair color to a light one!

Step 1: Cover Hair in Oil to Prevent Damage

I used keratin oil. You can use tea tree oil or coconut oil also. This helps to prevent further damage to your hair. Keep the oil in your hair while applying bleach and throughout the bleaching process.

Step 2: Apply Hair Bleach

I used Splat bleach. It works better than any other box and professional bleach I have used. Cover the area you want to bleach with it and wait the designated amount of time.

Step 3: Wash

Wash the bleach out of your hair.

Step 4: Do It Again

If your hair is still dark you can bleach again, Id suggest waiting at least a day and do a deep conditioning first.
I did mine in the same day because Im inpatient.

Step 5: Purple Shampoo

After bleaching your hair will likely be orange tinted. You can buy purple shampoo or conditioner.
Or you can make your own.
Just mix a tiny drop of purple and/or blue food coloring or hair dye in conditioner and/or shampoo.

Step 6: Video

Here is the video.

Nice tutorial. Do you have any more pictures of the process? If you want, you can embed the video in the page using the Embed Video tool in the step editor.
