Blanka Shrunken Head

I shrunk Blanka's head to hang on my rearview mirror to remind me of my "glory days" of Street Fighting! One of my all time favorite characters from Street Fighter is Blanka. He was a feral child in the Brazilian jungles who got his wonderful green color from the chlorophyl in the plants that he used to camouflage himself in the jungle environment. One of my favorite characteristics about him is his eel like ability to produce electricity, so I added a flashing light to this little guy to give him that "sparky" personality.

You will need:
Green yarn
Orange yarn
H crochet hook
handfull of stuffing
buttons for eyes
White felt for teeth
OPTIONAL: light up toy to gut

1. Crochet a basic ball shape:
Make a magic ring.
R1: 6 sc into ring
Ball worked as a spiral. Place marker to keep track of rounds.
R2: inc in each stitch around
R3: *inc, sc* around
R4: *2 sc, inc* around
R5: *inc, 3 sc* around
R6: *4 sc, inc* around
R7-11: sc around
R8: *dec, 4 sc* around
R9: *3 sc, dec* around
R10: *dec, 2 sc* around
R11: *1 sc, dec* around

2 Stuff the ball half full (you could also use potpourri)
3. Place your lights inside
4. Finish stuffing & R12: dec around to crochet the ball closed
5. Loop some orange yarn around the stitches of one end of the ball for  hair & cut it to desired length, then comb it out.
6. Crochet a rectangle for the mouth (Ch 10, sc in second ch from hook & across, ch 1 & turn) 3 times
7. Crochet 2 triangles for ears (ch 3, 2 dc in first ch, ch 2 & turn, dc in next dc, 2 dc in last dc, ch 1 & turn, sc across, finish off)
8 Sew the mouth & ears in place
9. Glue on button eyes
10. Glue on 2 white teeth

OPTIONAL: You can thread a loop through the top of the head for hanging.

I like it! Think you could make it shock you when you touch it instead?

LOL! Maybe you could rig one of those prank hand buzzers into it! :)
