Introduction: Blender Cakes Super Easy Pancakes With Very Little Mess

About: I'm just a regular guy trying to do extraordinary things. In addition I produce a weekly podcast, write and garden. I love to look at piles of crap and make that crap into something useful, useful crap.

In this Instructable I will show you how I make pancakes for my family. I am notoriously lazy so using this method I can clean up in under 5 minutes and get on with my day.

Step 1: Get Your Pancake Stuff Ready!

Here is what you need,
1. Blender
2. A hot surface to cook on, in this case I am using a griddle on my grill.
3. Spatula
4. Your favorite pancake recipe and the ingredients.
I chose not to tell you how to make pancakes in this as there are lots of lovely Instructables already here with lots of great recipes, use the one you like.

Step 2: Lets Get Cooking!

Get your griddle heating up.
While thats going on start mixing.
This is important, add your wet ingredients first.
I start with eggs, milk and vegetable oil.
Then blend.
Slowly add your dry ingredients, I simply add a little baking soda and then flour.
Blend this as you go, your goal here should be to get this the consistency of pancake batter. If you are unsure of what pancake batter looks like, please do not attempt this.

Step 3: Get Those Pancakes on the Griddle!

Now using the blender pour your pancakes on the hot griddle.
I usually add blueberries at this point.
Cook them until the bubbles come through, turn them over and cook them until they are done.
One thing I really like about pouring pancakes out of the blender is that I can control the size. I like to make them big enough to heat up in a toaster. I freeze the left overs and pop them in the toaster each morning for my kid.

Step 4: Eat Your Cakes and Clean Up

We eat pancakes with homemade maple syrup, again there are lots of Instructables to show you that trick.
Clean up is a snap, rinse the blender and stick it in the dishwasher, wipe your pans and your done.
Happy cooking and please feel free to comment.
