Introduction: Blood-Pack Clay Mini-Zombie Pellet Gun Targets!!!

About: My girlfriend and I run a company called Deville's Workshop in Toronto, Canada. We build weird props for film and television and love this website - such a great resource for inspiration and discussion!

"Hey Tina, we should probably clean the shop or do something really productive."

So Tina and I spent the evening making little fake blood-filled clay zombie targets and shooting them with pellet guns. It's really easy and quite fun so I thought I would share it with you.

The first step is easy - get some air-dry clay and make a fat little zombie body. Your sculpture doesn't have to be perfect, as long as it's tubby enough to hollow out a cavity for fake blood then it's fine (I just looked up "fat sculptures" and there are a hilarious amount of examples to model from).

Hollow out your zombie torso. I used a pen and just wiggled it around and made a cavity. Then fill the cavity with fake blood. YOU'RE SO CLOSE TO BEING DONE!!!!

Now make a little zombie head. Stick it on top of the zombie body. That's it! You've made a mini-zombie target!

So, I found that if you place a piece of white paper behind your mini-zombie you will get a much more visible spatter zone. You know what? I'm going to go shoot a video and upload it... don't go anywhere, I'll be right back!

******** time passes *************

OK! Check out this incredible video, slowed down in parts to ultra slow speeds, to give you a sense of what this is all about.

OK, be safe! Remember, don't shoot pellets at yourself or other living things (the undead are ok). Wear safety protection and don't use anti-bacterial soap, it creates super viruses that will eventually turn us all into zombies (ask your doctor, it's true!).

Until next time, DAZU!!!
