You can use panty hose like sand paper on wax to buff out any high spots.

I like it, but 1. We don't celebrate holiween 2. I don't know where to get soy wax? Could i just dip a red candel in white paint?

in reply to Feb 17, 2009. 5:10 AMReplyNo..paint is a BAD idea. I was able to get soy wax at a local craft store. You could search the internet for soy wax and find many options to have it shipped to you if you can't find it in any stores around you.

food coloring won't color the candle. try a lot of crayons.
