Very awesome. But I'm sorry because it feels as if this guide was very very unclear. It would be nice if we could get a full product list as to what to get for this project. For instance, I have no idea where the jack came from and blah! Like step one and step two aren't connected, but you worded it in a way to make it seem like they were and geez. I don't know, VERY awesome idea and outcome but I humbly request that you reword it.

I just happened to buy two of the Cardo BTAII Adapters yesterday, hoping to use it on my PSP for Skype. I didn't think of trying it before I bought them, so I didn't even realize that the plug was the wrong size... Anyway, I have a few questions. -Do you need the Remote to use Skype, or is there something else (read Cheaper), homemade or otherwise, that can be used in place of it? -Where can I get the 4 conductor HS Plug for cheaper than a whole Official HS/Mic? -Do the buttons (Ans/End, Vol) on the HS do anything? -Now that Skype is out, has anybody compared the functionality/clarity between this BT HS and the wired store bought ones?

YES you do need the remote... the buttons on the headset do nothing is my guess... skype has limited audio quality so my guess is that the BT will not make a difference in the clarity between it and the store one... as for the plug... you can look for 4 connector plugs for other devices (such as the ipod or a DV camera) but if i were you i'd just go out and get a headset or find a friend who has one that has a shelled out mic/speaker... if the plug is broken you are screwed most of this is a guess... his PSP is a Phat and mine is a slim so i had to shell out the 30 bucks for a remote and then another 20 for a headset

Actually can you just take the extension cable for the slim's video and use the end or does it not have the thing needed to use the mic because if you can then it will not need a remote and can be really short.
If not will this work as an end to go to the remote?
3.5mm 4 conductor plug

While looking on ebay I found another Bluetooth adapter that can be used inplace of the Cardo BTA II. It's the Jabra A210, it can be found for cheaper then the Cardo model

If you wanted to use it for the ps2 only, can you solder the cardo bt directly to the usb box and run it mono?

That is the ground for the speaker(s) and ground for the mic. I just bridged them so I only needed 1 ground wire coming off the board.

The Logitech USB box is from a Playstation 2 headset, I just unsoldered the headset cable from the box and wired up a headphone jack. The Cardo BTA II Bluetooth adapter can be bought online (ebay) for pretty cheap. I bought mine a few years ago at Radioshack.

Several PSP games have voice chat like SOCOM Fire Team Bravo. And with skype soon being released for the PSP by Sony this may come in handy.
