I found a great set of instructions on how to make explosives of any size from your POCKET(hint) to the limit of the materials you are allowed to buy without being arrested, which in some cases is quite large. I thought that it would be good to publish them here. I am not including all of the instructions, because I do not want to tell you how to make a pipe bomb, you can read it in the original. I am simply cutting it down to the ones that are either most useful, easiest, cheapest, most fun, or the most interesting. They will be broken up as chapters, each page will have only one creation, but some have multiple recipes.

Please do not use any of these recipes to hurt anyone or anything, I take no responsibility if you hurt yourself, someone else, or cause any damage of any kind.. Some of these mixtures are illegal to possess. Be careful when buying ingredients, or you could be put on a list by the government. That isn't good.

I take no credit for the original work, it came from this website.

Please mention any typos you find, there are probably quite a few,the guy is British I think. If you have any questions, please name what step you're asking about, there are a lot of them.

I've read that the detonation velocity of cyclonite (RDX) is as high as 8750 m/s, but the astrolite sounds much easier to make if you can get the hydrazine.

Does this require a blasting cap?

Also you can melt post-1983 american pennies in a steel soup can and file powder off the resulting shiny gray metal (zinc).

I did this about a year ago. It dosen't explode instantly like you say, and actualy took several seconds of propane torching to light it.

It burns with an intense green flame, which gave me the "there is a colored oval in front of my eyes" effect like a camera flash but worse.

I have the same problem with my instructable and am told they try to hie explosives-related stuff so the sponsors don't freak out. I found this because it was here: http://www.instructables.com/answers/Pyrotechnics-in-crash-course-abc-tv-show/, in a comment on a question that was related to my instructable: http://www.instructables.com/id/Impact_FuseExploding_Arrow/#

I have gun powder. Can I use that, may nearest gun store does not carry black powder for some reason. I only have gun powder, can I use that?
Jul 4, 2009. 10:48 PMwizkid7 says:
I was thinking since I never did this before, just make firecrackers. I probably don't need a mixtures of other chemicals for that. I was just gonna use gun powder I have, unless maybe my local walmart has black powder.
