Boost Your PC With "ReadyBoost" (Windows 7)

Boost Your PC With \"ReadyBoost\" (Windows 7)
Today I'm going to show you how to use a Windows 7 feature called "ReadyBoost". Using a standard storage device like a USB flash drive, SD card, Memory Stick and etc. you can boost your PC's performance.

What is ReadyBoost?
ReadyBoost was first introduced last 2006 bundled with Windows Vista. Today ReadyBoost is still present in Windows 7. It works by using flash memory, a USB flash drive, SD card, CompactFlash or any kind of portable flash mass storage system as a cache. In short it uses it like a Virtual Memory. It works like a standard PC RAM except ReadyBoost is slower than a regular RAM.

Step 1Insert A Storage Device

Insert A Storage Device
Insert any storage devices into your computer. USB flash drives, SD cards, Memory Sticks and etc. will be accepted, but Hard Drives will not be detected by ReadyBoost. Be sure to empty and backup your storage device otherwise ReadyBoost might delete your data automatically. Recommended storage size would be 4 GB but any will do.
