In this instructable I will show you how to play a special Easter egg in XP. The process is very simple so pretty much anyone with XP can do it

Step 1: Open CMD (command prompt)

As the title says open cmd prompt. This can be done either by heading to start, all programs then you will find command prompt in accessories or alternatively head to start, run and type cmd.exe and press enter.

It's not really an Ester Egg - simply something someone has setup on a telnet server elsewhere.

towel.blinkenlights.nl is an URL not a file, it works in any telnet client.

This is no easter egg, it can be done from any operating system with an Internet connection, I'm so fed up of people posting these things as easter eggs or hidden features. your actual connecting to a remote server, none of what you see is actual on your local computer. If you use telnet it is not an easter egg, and I'm very surprised you can even telnet from school.
