For this project I took my last instructable and changed it. I wanted to try and make it look more professional like something I could actually sell. I hope you enjoy this instructable.
Step 1: What You Will Need
You will need
- Cotton wool
- Mini glass jar (like the photo above)
- Any colour of food colouring
- Glitter Glue
Step 2: Fill the Bottle
Fill the mini glass bottle up with the cotton wool but between each layer add the glitter glue just like my last instructable. Don't add all of the cotton as you will need to colour 2 pieces of it with two different colours. Don't add the two coloured cotton wool yet as you'll need them for later.
Step 3: Add the Liquid
Add the water until it covers all of the cotton wool. Once you've added the water wait a few seconds as the cotton wool will soak it up so you'll need to add a little bit more. DO NOT FILL UP TO THE TOP OF THE BOTTLE.
Step 4: Adding the Colours
Add a few drops of the food colouring, I chose pink. Once I put the food colour in I stabbed the cotton wool with a straw which allowed it to flow around the cotton wool. To add more colour I coloured in two pieces of cotton blue and put it into the top of the bottle and then again stabbed it with the straw. I also added more glitter glue on the top.
Step 5: Adding the Lid
Just like last time my amazing boyfriend added a little screw on hoop that allowed a bit of string to go through creating a necklace. Make sure the screw hoop won't come out, you can add a bit of super glue to it. Before I put the lid on I waited a few minuets for the glitter glue to dry and then put the cork in.
Step 6: Finished Product
And there you have it, you now have a galaxy in a bottle that you can wear!! I really enjoy creating Galaxy products as you can make it the way you want and it's just a really awarding out come.
These two bottles are really cute and anyone can make them. They also make really cute presents.
