Introduction: Bread Pudding

About: I have been sewing and crafting for several years, my children are grown so now I have lots of time to be creative. I enjoy photography, cooking, cake decorating, painting and sharing my projects with others.

Here is a recipe for some serious comfort food, The history of Bread Pudding goes back many years and there are countless recipies out there but I love this one because it's quite tasty without being too sweet.

Step 1: Ingredients

You will need:

4 cups bread crumbs 
4 eggs
1 cup milk
1/4 cup craisins (you can use raisins instead)
1/4 cup dried apricots
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup olive oil


Step 2: Combine Egg Mixture

In a mixing bowl combine (with a fork) eggs, milk, sugar, oil and vanilla.

Step 3: Bread Crumbs

Cut up the dried apricots and add them to the bread crumbs along with the craisins and cinnamon. Stir well.

Step 4: Add Egg Mixture

Pour the egg/milk mixture over the bread crumbs and stir well until all of the bread crumbs are moistened.  

Step 5: Bake

Pre-heatt oven to 350 degrees. Spray 8" x 8" baking pan with non stick spray. Pour bread pudding batter into pan. Bake for 1 hour, uncovered.

Step 6: Finished Bread Pudding

This is a great dish to take to a potluck or office party.
