If your out camping and you dont have a stove to cook bacon and eggs , cook' em in a bag.

With this activity.

Step 1: Materials

-a brown paper bag
- 2 eggs
- a firepit
- wood that will burn (perferably oak)
- bacon
- matches , a liter , or flint and steal
Optional
- a knife
- something to keep you occupied

Step 2: Start a Fire

I didnt make a big one, but you can if you want to.

Step 3: Fireproofing the Bag

Rub half of a piece of uncooked bacon in the whole inside of the bag. Do not miss a spot make sure to get the top too.

Step 4: Setting the Bacon

Cut the bacon in half and lay it down on the bottom of the bag. Stack it if needed. After the bacon is set, crack the eggs and pour them on top of the bacon.

Step 5: Wait

Wait untill the fire completely dies out to where there are only ashes.

Step 6: Placing the Bag

Place the bag directly onto the ashes. Then wait for your food to cook.

(Sorry about the picture, there was too much smoke)

Step 7: Serve and Enjoy

Make sure your food is fully cooked before eating it. Mine is a little overcooked.

I am going to have to try the greased bag thing. Can you use oil instead of bacon?

Nice job.

It has always amazed me that you can take flammable grease, and coat flammable paper and put it in a hot place and it won't burn. But I have heard from several other places (plus you now) that it works. Amazing science!
