Brimmed Hat

Brimmed Hat
This is a brimmed hat that can be worn any time of the year. It is very simple to crochet and takes 3.5 oz skein of 4 ply worsted weight yarn, size G/6 crochet hook. You can make it for a child using a size E hook and sport weight yarn.
I got the pattern from www.crochetandknitting.com It uses chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and a tapestry needle to weave in ends. Very easy to read directions. I hope you enjoy my slideshow.

I have lately gotten into making hats for chemo patients since I have to take my husband once a week. This is a wonderful hat to make up for the donation basket. I made one like a french tam with a slightly longer back to cover hair loss.
