Introduction: Brownie Burger

Picture of Brownie Burger

I think the best entrée is a good dessert. Why can't we ever have both at once?

This is a super easy dessert-wich that requires no special ingredients and almost no talent (believe me).

It's as easy to assemble as, well, a hamburger, and even more satisfying!

Ingredients:

-Brownie batter

-Buns (Sweet Hawaiian are best)

-White chocolate

-Green food coloring (unless you want white lettuce)

-Peanut butter

-Apple

-Marshmallow fluff

The last four ingredients are optional, but isn't everything?

Step 1: Sweet Meat

Picture of Sweet Meat

Did you know that brownies can look just like meat if you do... almost nothing to them?

And they're delicious. No debate there.

So all you have to do is make your fav brownie recipe in some ramekins, mush them to look more rounded on the edges if you'd like, and boom! Sweet meat.

If you're curious, I used this recipe from myrecipes:

Ingredients:

2 eggs

1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled slightly

1/4 cup baking cocoa

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation:

Beat eggs slightly; stir in melted butter. Add remaining ingredients; pour into greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes, until firm.

~Makes about five 6-oz ramekins~

Step 2: Lett-uce Eat

Picture of Lett-uce Eat

This is my favorite decoration on the sandwich. The crunch of the chocolate adds a lot to the taste, too -- kind of like real lettuce!

-Crumple a big sheet of parchment paper {wax paper would probably work also, it would just be less sturdy} and make sure there are lots of wrinkles in it. They are what makes the lettuce look how it needs to.

-Melt the white chocolate {I used about a half cup for like four burgers} in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between.

-Add the food coloring {neon green works best} in tiny amounts, and starting with just a tinted white-green, line some chocolate in the middle of the paper. Add a bit more color, then add some of that next to the white-ish chocolate on the paper. Continue until you get the darkest shade you want and use up all of the chocolate.

-Spread the chocolate outward and flatten it so that it will be thin and crackly when it cools, but not so thin as that it will just fall apart. Fold the other half of paper over it and smush it down. Freeze the lettuce and then peel off paper.

*The lettuce is pretty fragile, so it is best to keep it frozen when assembling sandwiches.

How cool is that? Comment if you've tricked someone with a salad like this.;)

Step 3: Marshmallow Mayo and More

Final assembly:

-Slice apples to look like tomato and cut out the core. You could even peel some slices to make them look like onion!

-These are the layers of the sandwich, in order from the bottom: bun, brownie, peanut butter, apples, lettuce, and marshmallow (spread on top bun).

-If your peanut butter is not natural or not very runny, heat some up for about 30 seconds in the microwave so that you can pour it on easy-cheesy.

-I like to toast the bun and brush it with butter, but it's great soft too.

Enjoy [eating this yourself or freaking out a friend]!

* You could also try grilling your brownie, maybe from frozen, to make it all warm and gooey. Let me know how that goes!

*DON'T eat this with ketchup and a pickle. That was just for the photo. It will most likely taste gross in real life.

*No pickle's feelings were harmed in the making of this instructable (I checked;)
