You will LOVE these crispy Brussels sprouts! So easy and so delicious, you should make them tonight!

The problem with most Brussels sprouts is that they taste bitter or bland. But a little bacon, a lot of garlic and a lemon finish make these sprout unforgettable! No bacon? Use ham! I used prosciutto I had left over from making Chicken Cordon Bleu!

  • For a strictly-veggie option, try smoked tempeh (or other fakin bacon). The smokey quality adds an unforgettable depth of flavor.

Step 1: Materials

  • Brussels sprouts
  • 2 slices bacon (or ham, prosciutto, smoked tempeh, etc)
  • Chopped garlic
  • Dash of lemon juice
  • Olive oil

Step 2: Prep

Cut bottoms off of Brussel sprouts and remove any icky leaves

Slice sprouts in half

Toss in olive oil to coat

Cut bacon into small pieces

Step 3: Cook

Cook bacon over med-high heat. (if using prosciutto, tempeh, or any less fatty meat, add a dash of olive oil)

Add chopped garlic (as much as you like!)

Place sprouts in bacon grease, cut-side down

Cook until cut-side is golden brown

Toss ingredients around in pan for a few more minutes until everything's nice and crispy.

Plate and sprinkle with a heathy does of lemon juice.

Now just try to resist these tasty morsels!!
