Budget Venetian Chandelier

Budget Venetian Chandelier
After seeing an incredible Chandelier in Venice, I got the bug to make one. With all the supplies (~ $40.00) it took about a weekend to assemble and paint. More images and description can be found here.

It would be really cool to use the christmas candle lights too. I want to do this really bad, but don't know where to put it.

This is a really cool idea! I've seen similar things made from wood, but I think a lot more people would be able to make one using foam core and mat board. When it comes to wiring though, I agree with omnibot. I would use different wire for the hot and neutral, and if possible, a ground wire as backup.

Beautiful! But your use of green/yellow wires is appalling, they are only to be used for the grounding wire. It works but if someone else is going to repair it it can cause injury's or worse, also I don't recommend soldering highvoltage wires like that, is there is a bit of rosin left inside the joint it can overheat and explode.

I really like this project. Sadly, it's not primarily made out of cardboard for the contest, though.
