Build an easy temporary door chain lock

After a "this stuff belongs to me becuase your a jerk" war that I recently had with my younger sister. Instead of fighting with her childish games, I decided to out-smart her.
In this instructable, we will be building a temporary door lock using a chain.
Its a one-way lock meaning it can be locked from the outside and not the inside although if you do this right, you can unlock it from the inside as well.
This should take you no longer than 10 minutes if you have all of these parts around your house.
As usual I am NOT responsible for damages or injuries.
Not recomended for weak doors, or strong sibblings.
This lock is in no way to keep out a cat burgalar or a real robber and should NOT  be used that way. This lock was designed to keep out a 12 year old girl from entering my bedrooom when Im away. If sombody really wanted in that room they would just kick the door down.

Step 1: What you need

tools2.bmp
This is what you need

Tools
-channel lock pliers (or some sort of heavy, strong, pliers)\
-measureing tape

Supplies
-chain (at least 7ft. 10in.)
-lock (MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE KEY OR COMBINATION TO IT)

Thats everything.
I had all of this around my house so it didnt cost me a dime to build this.

If you can open the door this far what prevents someone from sliding the chain around the corner of the door so they can lift it off the knob?

Better pictures aren't necessery but it would be nice to get a better shot of the way you secured it to the wall. But maybe I'm not RTA'ing well enough.

actually the ancor is the chain that is mearly wedged between the two door frams. you can use anything though. For example an other door knob

haha well that sounds good enough. sometimes its easier to change the environment/situation than the people contained within the equation.

Ok well Usually more often than not, its advantageous to generally manipulate the environment to suit ones needs in such a way that it encourages good behavior of the people stuck in bad patterns.

:P That may just be my view though.

Well sometimes its easier to change the environment and sometimes its easier to change the people. In my case it was easier to change the environment

its an interesting idea but I'd not want to secure the chain to the outside of the door unless i had an eyebolt ran straight through the wall to the Secure side of the door so that it would be annoyingly difficult to undo the securing of said room.

its quite annoying and seldomly ever used but it does get the job done. seeing as how it is in order to keep my 13 year old sister out of my rrom that has expensive guitars and things i wouldnt want here to touch, its worth it
