Just so everyone knows, it's illegal to have shell casings without a permit.
Aug 13, 2009. 11:46 PMhim9292 says:
Depends where you are at. An empty shell should be legal everywhere, except for Britain. Now, if it were a LOADED ROUND, then you gotta be 18 to buy it and possibly to posses it, depending on state laws.

can you put a cap on this?
Feb 11, 2009. 5:52 PMShadowfury says:
5/5 faved. I would recommend not using just the ink cartridge, but the pen itself. Cut the body down to size, then the cartridge, reinsert the cartridge into the body and then glue it in. It solves the air pressure problem.
Feb 13, 2009. 4:35 PMShadowfury says:
No, but the pen has air in it. To answer your question, yes, some pens have holes in them, but others have slightly pressurized bodies. If you do not have any air to replace the ink as it is used, the ink will be kept in the cartridge. This is because as the ink is used, gravity forces more ink onto the ball. As this happens, air is drawn into the cartridge to replace the ink.

What if you used a shotgun shell and a fat highlighter.Do you think that would work
Jan 12, 2009. 6:30 PMdondon107 says:
except it doesn't work because the air pressure keeps the ink from leaving. you need to drill a hole in back i think

I should make one someday...

darn! a few years back I found three boxes of empty casings that my neighbor was going to throw out (there was about 300 casings there) but now I cant find the box! that sucks I want to make one of these.

I've been meaning to make one of these for ages, I have a whole belt of 7.62mm shell casings... If I get a chance with the lathe I'll make one using the slug from one as a cap, the one on the end has an undamaged slug shoved back in to it to denote start and end...
Jan 2, 2009. 8:14 AMxboxteen01 says:
pretty cool
Jan 2, 2009. 7:57 AMCaseyCase says:
