Every so often, I make these to give to my friends as an Easter Remembrance. They are easy to do and don’t cost much at all. So here is how to create an Bunny Easter Egg holder.

Step 1:

Supplies:
New wash cloth (any color you want, $.50 -$2.00 each)
8 inches of ¼ to 3/8 inch ribbon (complimentary or contrasting color)
1 rubber band
2 10mm googlie eyes
1 inch white pompom
E-6000 glue
Scissors
A plastic Easter egg or any other decorated Easter egg. (If you use a plastic egg, fill it with an Easter treat.)

Step 2:

Lay out the wash cloth tag side up. Remove the tags.

Step 3:

At one corner, roll the corner in toward the center of the cloth, as tight as possible. Repeat with the other corner.

Step 4:

Pick up the rolled wash cloth and fold it in half, with the two rolled edges outside of the roll.

Step 5:

Fold back the two loose corners (these are the ears), toward the back of the loop,

Step 6:

and use the rubber band to wrap around the newly created end. This will make the head of the bunny.

Step 7:

Pull the ears so that they stand up.

Step 8:

Take the 8 inch piece of ribbon and wrap it around the rubber band (this hides the rubber band), tying it into a bow at the top of the bunny head, in front of the bunny ears.

Step 9:

Using the E-6000 glue, attach the pompom at the back of the loop, for the tail.

Step 10:

Then glue on the eyes, on the head, at the opposite end from the tail.

Step 11:

Put your egg of choice in the loop behind the ears.

Step 12:

Done! While I was making these, my almost 3 year old grandson (his birthday is at the end of this month) sat and watched, after the rubber band, but before the tail and eyes, he burst out, “It’s a bunny!” Smart kid! Enjoy!
