Introduction: Butter Milk Rasam

-Butter milk rasam is tasty rasam prepared using butter milk .Spice powder added in this rasam gives nice flavour to it.

-To beat the heat on hot day we can have this rasam with white rice.

Ingredients

-One cup yoghurt

-one cup water

-Half tsp cumin,mustard seeds

- Tsp Roasted gram dal

-One tbsp dry dessicated coconut

-one dry red chilli

-one garlic clove

-salt as per taste

For tempering:

-Half tsp cumin,mustard seeds

-Half tsp split black gram

-Few curry leaves

Step 1: DILUTE YOGHURT

-Take one cup yoghurt and add one cup water to it and mix.

-Add salt as per taste to butter milk

Step 2: KEEP READY WITH INGREDIENTS FOR SPICE POWDER

-We need to prepare spice powder for butter milk rasam.

-For preparing powder take half tsp cumin mustard seeds,Half tsp roasted gram,1tbsp dry dessicated coconut,one dry red chilli and one garlic clove in blender

Step 3: BLEND

-Blend all ingredients taken in blender to powder

Step 4: ADD SPICE POWDER TO BUTTER MILK

-Add blended spice powder to prepared butter milk and mix

Step 5: TEMPERING

-Take little oil in vessel and add cumin,mustard seeds. when they splutter add split black gram and few curry leaves.

Step 6: Transfer the Tempering to Buttermilk Rasam

-Finally transfer the tempering to butter milk rasam and serve rasam with rice
