CD Cell Phone Stand

Wait! Don't throw out that old CD when you can make it in to a cell phone stand! This is an instructable that will teach you how to make a cell phone stand out of a cd. please vote for it if you like it.

Looks nice but a little complicated. If you want a real hands free cell phone, go to carcellphonemount.com .  They have a new idea on cell phone mounts for your car and will announce new models for the "third hand" model for desk and office use.  It's pretty cool, no stupid suctions cups that always fall off.  check it out.

I'm thinking about making this and wondered if anybody tried dipping it in paint or using a sharpie to color it because if you use like a madonna cd or something I wouldn't show that to my friends tell me how it worked if you did paint it

Make sure to use spray paint for plastic though, cause I just spaced out and used normal and it just slides right off

I had a few mins to spare and needed a wall mounted phone holder so I gave it a try. I had trouble with cds splitting between layers so I used a clear spacer. Thanks for this quick and easy instructable.

Couldn't you also make the bottom piece that holds the phone to one side so you can have your phone changing and looking cool on a CD stand at the same time?

Instead of having one bottom piece holding it up, have two that are off to the sides of the bottom so that it can be charging. On my phone the one big bottom piece would have been covering the spot where you plug it in.
