You could use lightscribe to burn your numbers on first.

Nice clock you have made there and I love the light scribe Idea posted by Mr. Incredible, I have an old light scribe burner and a couple of blank light scribe discs some where, I may have to make one of these for my computer desk thaks a million for the idea.

Lightscribe! I haven't seen that in years! Like Zip Disks, it just never really caught on, you know? Good idea though, it would have looked a lot sharper with a lightscribed picture and numbers.
