CD Hovercraft

A CD hovercraft with a ballon. Great time waster. My first instructable.

Step 1: Materials

1. Any CD you don't want anymore.
2. A ballon. The party kind.
3. A water bottle lid. The one you pull open and push shut.
4. Glue gun.

now ive done these before, and ive straped bottle rockets to CD's but how many of you have done one of these bad boys with a bottle rocket straped to the side as such -->cd OI <--bottle rocket, so its sideways, not up. it is so cool

you can also just get a normal screw on cap, put a small hole on the top side, and glue it so the underside is facing up

if you use clay, it is easier to blow in air. you can also use blue-ack or some sticky tac

Haha, it's great :) You can use clay instead of gluing the bottle lid.

This looks to me like a slightly different version of the CD hovercraft as it uses a drink bottle with a spout. It's great to have two different version of the same thing, as there are multiple right ways to build something.

Yeah, i guess you're right. Short, sweet, and simple. I love these instructables that I don't even have to get up for to make.

I made one of these in May and it really does work, for about 5 seconds. But it was fun playing air hockey on the table with my son.
