Introduction: CLAY HUMAN TORSO

WHEN I MAKE ANY HEADS OR TORSOS I LIKE TO USE A COLOR MOST LIKE SKIN NOT BLUE OR PINK AS I HAVE SEEN FROKM VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE. I DID NOT FIND A VIDEO I REALLY LIKED SO I TOOK IT ITO MY OWN HANDS A ND PLAYED WITH IT FOR A WHILE UNTIL I FOUND A SHAOE THAT I REALLY LIKED. WHEN I DO MY SCULPTING I PREFER TO USE SCULPEY MODELING CLAY THE BEST.

THIS IS A PIC OF THE KIND I USED FOR THIS MODEL.

Step 1:

WHEN YOU MAKE THE  THE STOMACH AND CHEST AREA I FORMED THE SHAPE LIKE A PEANUT. I THINK IT TURNED OUT GREAT.

Step 2:

WHEN I MAKE THE ARMS I ROLL OUT A PIECE LIKE A SNAKE UNTIL I LIKE THE PROPORTIONS. SOMETIMES YOU WILL HAVE TO TRIM IT. AND BELIEVE ME I DID A LOT OF THAT. FOR HANDS I JUST FLATTENED THE AND AND BROUGHT IT UP. I WOULD HAVE DONE MORE DETAIL BUT I AM PRETTY BAD AT HANDS.

Step 3:

NOW THIS STEP IS THE EASIEST STEP THERE IS IN THIS PROJECT. WHICH IS MAKING THE NECK. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PINCH SOME OF THE CLAY UP AT THE TOP AND YOU HAVE A NECK.

Step 4:

THE LEGS ARE JUST BIGGER ARMS. I AM ALSO REALLY BAD AT FEET SO I DID THE SAME THING I DID TO MAKE THE HANDS. ONCE YOU HAVE DONE THE ARMS IT IS EASIER BECAUSE LIKE I SAID THEY ARE JUST LIKE BIG ARMS. I ONLY ADDED ON RIGHT NOW BECAUSE IT TOOK A LOT OF TIME.
